It's time for Web Wednesday and today's subject is so prolific that I have no choice but to split this into two posts. What, you may ask, can deem such a feat? No other than Wreckless Eating. In case you are unaware of exactly what Wreckless Eating is, allow me to fill you in. Wreckless Eating is a YouTube channel featuring a group of friends who consume a number of odd or disgusting foods. For this first post we will be looking at the members of the cast. So without further ado let's get to part 1.
Before I get into the members of Wreckless Eating, I have to mention that the cast is huge. There are so many members of the group that I can't talk about them all. Well, I can but I'm not going too. This isn't because I am lazy. To be honest some of them just haven't left much of an impact on me. Not to mention that to date the channel has over 1,200 videos. I have seen a lot of them, but not all. As such, I will only comment on the people that I feel I have a grasp on.

| Matt dressed as the Nostalgia Critic. Ensuring his place on my list of awesome people. |
After Matt the second most important member of the team, the man who the channel is named after, is Chris Wreckless. I am not a fan of Chris. He is very good at what he does, i.e. eating horrible things. The issue being that his personality is so overbearing and over the top that he just grates on me. There is another issue, but I have to preface it by saying that everyone on the channel is guilty of this but Chris takes it to another level, and that is casual racism. There are a few members of the cast that are black or Hispanic and it's obvious that the members of Wreckless Eating are a tight nit group of friends. As such the casual racism can be chalked up to friendly banter but, as I said, Chris takes it a little too far. When he is being reined in he can ibe tolerable but as a general rule I just dislike him. Of all of the members of the group he is the only one I don't like. Which sucks because he is right behind Matt in terms of prominence on the channel.
The rest of the cast seems to appear at random. First is Andrew 3000 or A3K as he is called. Andrew, whenever he appears, steals the show. Not only is he funny, charismatic, and laid back but he has a weak stomach. On a show like this that is pure gold. Even when he isn't on the show proper he can still be the star. There are many times when the scent of the food being tried makes Andrew dry heave and even vomit from a distance. His reactions are pure gold.
Sean doesn't appear as often I would like. But his more quiet personality and look sets him apart. He plays off the others well and is definitely not a shrinking violet. He comes off as the coolest member of the group but doesn't act like he is better than the rest.
Old Man Tom is one of the lesser seen members of the channel. He is often behind the camera which seems to be his niche. From behind the scenes he helps to push the action forward. When on camera his disgust and trepidation make for great viewing. He presents a more mature persona but isn't above doing something stupid.
Havik is another of my favorites. Recently, due to the birth of his first child, his participation has been scarce. When he does show up his personable nature and relaxed delivery make him a great part of any show. He is also up for almost anything which leads to some great moments. He has great chemistry with almost any other member of the channel. No matter who he is with he blends well with them.
A-Roc is one of the more restrained members of the group. He has a very cool demeanor and pointed delivery.A-roc, or Eric as he is also known, is usually too busy to be on most of the shows, which is sad. He has amazing chemistry with Matt and A3k. When those 3 are together comedy ensues. Being black he is often the butt of many jokes but he gives just as good as he gets.
Deathtoll is also one of my favorites. Not only due to his persona but also because he looks very much like the Cinema Snob. Aside from that Deathtoll is one of the more subdued members of the group. He plays off of the others and does it very well. Toll also happens to be one of the guys that are up for anything. He is very similar to Havik in his ability to have chemistry with almost anyone, but his gentle delivery often requires a bigger personality to really shine.
Chuck/Chug Roland is one of the unsung heroes of the group. He is very reserved but what he lacks by not being very vocal he makes up for with his facial expressions and body language. His pain and discomfort is pure enjoyment. He may be a little awkward but that just adds to the comedy.
Naader is one of the more interesting but less charismatic members of the cast. He is a competitive eater with an iron stomach. Whenever there is something so bad the rest of the cast are barely able to keep it in their mouths, he arrives and downs it like a champ. He is great at making everyone else look like a chump.
The only other person who can stand up to Naader is Jeff Fu. He is not only a member of the crew but he is also a supplier of some of the worst foods the cast has ever had. Not only that, but Jeff is almost on par with Naader in his ability to stomach the worst of the worst.
As I said before there are probably over half a dozen more cast members. Most of whom I haven't seen much of. My leaving them off this 'primer' is not a slight against them. I just haven't had enough exposure to them. Next week we get into the actual shows. But there is no need to wait click the links below and start watching right now.
