Web Wednesday.

A week ago I posted the first half of my Wreckless Eating review/guide. Last week I took a look at some of the members of the Wreckless Eating channel. Today, I'll be looking at the shows, of which there are dozens. These shows run the gamut in length, concept, and subject matter. I haven't watched every episode and in fact have not tried every show, as such I will be sticking to the ones I have seen and can talk about with a modicum of knowledge.

Let's start with the Main Show, as it's titled. The Main Show is the biggest of the shows featured on the channel. New episodes are released monthly. This is the show that features the worst of the worst. On this it you can see Matt and Chris, along with any other member of the channel they can find, eating things that would make the strongest of stomachs churn. I have seen every episode of the Main Show and can say that, with the exception of the earliest episodes, it the most consistently entertaining show on the channel. Above is my favorite episode to date. It includes a sampling of many of the worst items the guys have endured. Matt, Chris, Havik, and A3K take these foods and play a game of Beer Pong with them. It is hilarious and disgusting. This isn't a show to watch while you're eating, but it is one you should watch.

While the Main Show is the gem in the Wreckless Eating crown, it is not the most frequently released. That honor falls upon WE Shorts, which usually clocks in around 5 minutes in length,  and can feature any type of food. There are over 500 episodes available. I would recommend watching this show before any of the others. It is a great primer to the concept behind the channel and the members of the group. Above is an episode where Matt, A-Roc, and Chud Roland sample a very special type of mint.

The next show I want to talk about is Fan Package. The concept of this show is quite simple, the fans send a package of food stuffs to the Wreckless Eating crew who then consume the foods. While this is a simple premise, the show has delivered pure comedic gold on many occasions. This is due to Matt and whoever he has suckered into doing it with him, not knowing what they will encounter. You will surprised at some of things the fans send them. Above is Fan Package 31 with Matt and Havik.

Another fun show is Wreckless Eating Challenges. This show started with Chris Wreckless attempting different eating challenges. The early episodes saw him face the 5lb burrito, 6lb OMG Burger, and The Source. The episode featuring The Source, which is the hottest hot sauce you can easily buy, is where things begin to change. The show went from a Chris Wreckless affair to featuring other members of the group facing these challenges with him. At that point the show became a great source of entertainment.

If you are a Chris Wreckless fan and want to see more of him then Don't Do That Chris is the show for you. This show is very similar to Wreckless Eating Challenges. The main difference is that Don't Do That Chris doesn't actually feature challenges. That is to say, the things Chris eats aren't touted as challenges but as things he simply shouldn't eat. Even though I don't like Chris I can say that Don't Do That Chris is always entertaining.

Chris isn't the only member of the group to have a show focused on them alone. Deathtoll has also been given that opportunity with Deathtoll's Iron Stomach. On this show Deathtoll consumes horrid concoctions that are usually thought of by Chris. Deathtoll can mostly handle these creations but has suffered for it. I personally prefer this to Don't Do That Chris, mainly because I find Deathtoll to be very likeable.

Another member of the group to get their own show is A3K who stars in Buying Shit From An Ice Cream Truck. This is one of the more tame shows on the channel, which considering Andrew's delicate stomach, is a good thing. To be honest this show is really only worth watching if you like A3K. It doesn't have the same car crash appeal that most of the others have.

The trend of shows built around a single member of the crew continues with Naader vs. the World, starring Naader. This show features Naader, who is a competitive eater by profession, attempting food challenges. The difference in this case is that the challenges are more about quantity then quality. Naader isn't the most charismatic of people, but if you want to see a skinny guy eat large amounts of food while other people make jokes, than this show is for you.

Getting back to group show we have COC (Candy of Candies). This features Matt and other members of the group trying and ranking candies. This show isn't entertaining because of the type of foods but for the interactions between the Wreckless Eating crew. It is another of my favorites.

The last show I want to mention is WE Cast Tries. This show is built around the Wreckless Eating Crew trying things from the other shows. So if you want to see what the guys who weren't on the Main Show think about the food featured on it you may find it here. Anyone can appear on this show and it is yet another show filled with great interactions.

There are many more shows featured on the Wreckless Eating Channel. I haven't seen them all but I did like what I have seen. I hope this and previous post have helped inform you as to who the Wreckless Eating Crew is and what they do. Take some time and check out what they have to offer.
