Damn!! Thursday.

The word Damn can be used in many ways. For this series of post I use it as an exclamation of awe. Today I had another reason to use. In anger. Whether purposefully or not I was insulted. I should say I felt Insulted. I had an appointment with my psychiatrist today. During our session she "implied" that I may not be creative enough to be a writer. To be perfectly honest I am probably reading her intentions wrong. I am sure she meant what she said in the most helpful of ways. Although that does not make my anger any less real. I was angry. Damn!! Angry.

Anyway now that that is out of the way let's get to the good stuff.

We begin with the above photo. A thirteen year old boy, while playing a Ninja game with friends caused the injure you see there. Apparently the boy put the bamboo spear into his shirt and jumped in the air. When he landed it somehow stabbed him in the throat. While the picture is disturbing that's not why it is hear. This kid stabbed himself in the throat and survived. That is incredibly lucky. I might even say Damn!! Lucky.

I didn't follow the Casey Anthony trial. I wasn't interested in it. Whether she was guilty or not did not change the fact that a little girls was dead. Most people seem to agree that even if she didn't kill her daughter  she actively endangered her. Whatever you may believe the above photo speaks volumes. We live in a country were a woman can be sentenced to 10 years in prison for selling marijuana while Casey Anthony can not only be found not guilty of murder but face no repercussions for her actions. This isn't funny, amazing, or even all that shocking. It's just disgusting.

Our first video of the day shows a small boy on an escalator. The boy is holding onto the railing of the escalator but is not standing on it. He is on the other side and ends up riding the hand rail 15 feet into the air. Once he reaches the top his grip begins to loosen. Luckily a passerby sees this and is able to get to him just as he falls. The man catches the boy and saves him from serious injury if not death. More info available here.

The second video of this post is a bit more fun. It shows a man being backed into by a car. The driver and passenger of the car are scam artist. They try to scare the man and solicit money from him. Unbeknownst to them the man had a dashboard mounted camera and had the entire incident on film. The look on their faces as the realize they have been caught, red handed, is priceless.

Out last item of the day is about Karen Granville. Karen is a 64-year-old woman from Daytona, Florida. Karen, a lover of John Wayne and an owner of a concealed weapon's license, found the perfect opportunity to be awesome recently. A suspected car thief was being chased by deputies and happened to wander into Karen's backyard. This was a mistake. Karen ran out to greet the man by saying "Don't you move mother fucker. I will shoot you! I will shoot you where you stand!". That is awesome. Damn!! Awesome.

The last video of the day is really meant for Doctor Who fans. It is a fan made music video that features every Doctor who episode ever. As a Doctor Who fan I really enjoyed it.
