Damn!! Thursday.

It's that time again. Time to trawl the depths of the Internet to find something, anything that would make you say "Damn!!". This week we have a nice mix of bad and worse. Before we get into that let's take a quick look at the above picture. Someone found a purple squirrel. I don't have anything to say about that. I just found it kind of funny.

Before we get into the disturbing items let's start with something fun and silly. Recently Gizmodo reported on a cool find from the annual Shot Show. A company named DoubleStar has created a custom Ak-47 made for dispatching Zombies. Aside from some cosmetic alterations the main addition is a FUCKING Chain Saw. That is DAMN!! cool.

A fire in a Honduras prison resulted in over 350 deaths. The fire was deliberately started by prisoners who lit their beds on fire. When the fire crews arrived they were not allowed in by the guards. They thought the screaming was the result of a riot. When the crews were finally let in they could not find keys or guards to unlock the cells. Of the men who dies 100 escaped from their cells but died none the less. Some men who attempted to break through the prison's roof and failed were later found with their bodies fused to the ceiling. Angel Mayger, 73, a resident of East Riding, Yorkshire, was recently attacked in her home. As you can see from the picture above she was left battered and bruised. The woman was smart enough to have locks on all of her windows and doors as well as a security system. Sadly it wasn't enough. Which is a DAMN!! shame.

Okay, so three Iranian terrorist are in Bangkok. Everything is going find. They are doing their thing when their explosives go off and blow the roof off the house they were staying in. Two of the men make a run for it. One, Saedi Moradi, tries to hail a cab. A cab driver stops to pick him up but then notices that he is covered in blood and refuses the fair. Saedi was upset by this and being a terrorist he did, what all terrorist do, he threw a grenade. Now if the first explosion wasn't enough to get the attention of the local police the second was. When the police arrived Saedi once again went with his usual tactic of throwing grenades. It is at this point I should mention the video above. It shows the aftermath of what I am about to describe. It is fairly graphic and if you are sensitive to such things you may want to avoid it. Anyway Saedi throws another grenade, this time at the police, the grenade bounces of some trees and ended up blowing his legs off. This probably makes me a bad person but I find that to be DAMN!! funny.

Recently there has been a rash of sewer explosions in China. These explosions, which have been known to send manhole covers into the air, are caused by Biogas.  Biogas is a gas produced by the breakdown of organic matter in a oxygen free environment. Like, for instance, a sewer. The man in the above video decided to light a firecracker on a manhole. As you can imagine that did not go well. 

Finally for our last item we go all the way back March 22, 1989. During a hockey game between the St. Louis Blues and the Buffalo Sabres. Clint Malarchuk who played for the Buffalo Sabres had his throat slit. Ice skates, as you may or may not know are razor sharp, which means they can and will cause severe injury. Malarchuk and two other players became entangled and one of the men's skate cut Malarchuk's throat. Luckily for Malarchuk the team's trainer Jim Pizzutelli, a Vietnam veteran, was an Army medic. Pizzutelli was able to stop the bleeding and save Malarchuk's life. As you can see from the video above Malarchuk was incredibly lucky. All I can say is DAMN!!
