Web Wednesday.

On this edition of Web Wednesday I am going to look at one of my more recent finds. He has been around for a while but I only began watching this year. The man of the hour is Paw Dugan. Paw specializes in music, but unlike the Rap Critic and Todd in the Shadows he doesn't stick to strict music reviews. Paw spreads his wings and ventures to other domains. Let's see why that's a good thing.

Paul Schuler, or as most know him Paw Dugan, is one of the longer tenured members of ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com. His original series "Full Circle" was first featured in 2008. Mike Machaud saw Paw's work and decided, as a test, to post the videos on the sites first page. Paw's popularity took off and he became a member of the team. Paw became so popular that he ended up being a co-presenter on TGWTG.com's official podcast Transmission Awesome.

Paw's first show "Full Circle" was a look at the evolution of music and how it shaped his life. It is an interesting and personal series. While, by it's nature, the series could go on endlessly, Paw decided to end it in 2010. The series is made up of a number 'sessions', lists, and other music or life related pieces. I haven't watched the entirety of this series but I have enjoyed what I've seen.

To continue with the musical shows Paw created a lyric based show called Lyrical Poetry. In the show Paw delves into the lyrics of a song and finds the deeper meaning in them.  The show has not been regularly released and over the course of 4 years has only reached 6 episodes. This may be due to the many other projects Paw has been busy with.

Paw has also worked on video game centered series. He stuck with music at first by doing a series called Music Games. In this series he looks at and reviews rhythm/music related games. Possibly due to the limited number of music games Paw has also done a number of Let's Plays and a retrospective on the King's Quest series.

As far as I'm concerned Paw's best work has been on his Music Movies series. It's a pure movie review show with a difference. That being its focus on the music of musicals and music heavy movies. I have watched every episode of the series and fully recommend it. It is immensely entertaining and quite informative. I can't say enough good things about it. If you want to see one episode in particular I'd point you at his Reefer Madness review.

All in all Paw is probably the most consistently entertaining member of TGWTG.com. He has shone in every crossover, cameo, and series he has appeared in. I would go so far as to say that Paw steals just about every scene he is in, when in a crossover or cameo. Take my advice and give him a look.
