Years ago I made a post about Rubber Band Guns. You can read it here. Now seems like a good time to do a bit of an update on that subject. Which means this is the first Tat post of the new year and since my return.

In that last post I mentioned a Japanese guy who was doing some pretty cool stuff with Rubber Band guns. His site, called either Psychodrive Over Boost or just Over Boost, can be found here.  I'm going to throw up a few pictures so you can see just how awesome these things are.

As I said in the previous post these thing are so over built it's not even funny.

Why would you ever need a full metal Rubber Band Gun?

The truth of the matter is that you don't, but you know you want one.

How can you not? Everything he makes has a SciFi/Anime/Tatcti-Cool vibe to it.

These are still the coolest, hands down, Rubber Band guns ever.  The one problem, because there is always a problem, is that the site is in Japanese. Google translator can help with that but only barely. All I know is that he is still making Rubber Band guns and sells them. Even if you had to money to buy one, they are not cheap, he doesn't ship outside of Japan.

There is good news. At some point, I know I'm being vague but Google Translator gives me a headache, he struck a deal with Toy/Video Game company Taito to mass produce versions of three of his designs.

I know what you're thinking. Great now I have to scour Ebay to find these things, and they are going to be so over priced. What if I told you that you could get these, well two of them, on Amazon?

The IFREET PZ is available right here for only $59.99 plus shipping. That isn't cheap but considering what he sells the full metal guns for it's a bargain

The Yeti24 PZ is even cheaper. That one goes for $29.99 plus shipping and you can get it here.

You will have to go to Ebay to try to track down the last of the three. Sadly the Silver Wolf is not available on Amazon, at least I haven't found it.

I've been following the Japanese guy's work for years, but the revelation that I could own his designs wasn't what pushed me to do this update. No, that was learning about this new upcoming product. Precision RBS looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

What you have here is a modern, accessible, high quality Rubber Band gun. This company is pushing one of the best aspects of the Rubber Band gun. I'm a Nerf guy. I love Nerf Blasters. I've recently become a huge fan of the Rival line. Why? Because of accuracy. A normal Nerf gun is not accurate. The Rival Blasters are.

Rubber Band guns are more so. That is one of the selling points of the Rubber Band gun in general and Precision RBS in particular.

You can see just how accurate it is in the above video by Nerf Youtube Reviewer/Personality Lord Draconical AKA Drac.  You can read more about the creation of this line here. These won't be available for a few months but I'd be shocked if they weren't a huge success when they do come out.

Needless to say I am very excited about these things. No matter how old I get I'll never lose my love of things that fire other things. Whether it be Nerf, Airsoft, or Rubber Band Guns.

The accuracy of Rubber Band guns and cheapness of the ammo have always made them a favorite of mine. The only thing that kept them from being at the top of my list were aesthetics. A lot of old fashioned Rubber Band guns are butt ugly. That isn't the case anymore. We now can have the best of all worlds.

So, if you want to shoot off some elastic ammo in style now you can. And in a few months you'll be able to do it at an even lower price point.

That's it for today. I probably won't be back with another update until next Wednesday. See you then.
