Tat Tuesday.

In case I haven't said it before I am a bit of a knife collector. I don't collect really expensive or rare knives. In fact most of what I have runs in at less than $20 a piece. I just go for the aesthetics. The problem I have, other than the stigma of having been prone to psychological issues in the past and liking knives, is that I live in New York City and many types of knives are illegal to carry and some to even own. The first part of that isn't a problem, I don't carry a knife, I do carry a small multi-tool,  the second is. A lot of the knives I like fall into illegal territory. One such breed of knife is the Balisong or butterfly knife. As with most things there are ways to get around this. That brings me to today's Tat Tuesday item the Bottlefly. Let's take a closer look at this novelty.

FamiKamen Rider

A few months ago I did a post on Justin "JewWario" Carmical. If you want to refresh you member click here. One thing I didn't mention at the time was that Justin had created his own Kamen Rider in FamiKamen Rider. If you are unaware of what a Kamen Rider is you can read this post and learn a little about Japanese Tokusatsu. Last night I visited Justin's site and learned that he had plans for an eleven part series about the FamiKamen Rider. You can read about it here. I am telling you this because Justin needs our help. He has started a IndieGoGo drive to help fund the series. If you have any extra cash and want to help a man make his dream come true than please donate. If you can't, than do what I'm doing and spread the word.

Thank You.

Damn!! Thursday.

On this edition of Damn!! Thursday I am once again doing something a little different. I want to take a look at a few stories about Bullying in schools that I have come across. What makes these stories different is that they all come from Japan. I know that bullying is nothing new and is an issue the world over but these particular stories caught my attention. It isn't that they are extreme examples of just how bad bullying can get, even though they are, it is more about the response of the Adults to these situations. I would also like to recount my own very minor experience with the subject.

Web Wednesday.

On this edition of Web Wednesday I am going to tackle one of the big wigs. He is arguably one of the most popular web entertainers at the moment and is consistently laugh out loud hilarious. Recently he has also become quite controversial as well. I am talking about Mashable award winner Noah "The Spoony One" Antwiler.

Awesome Fat Guy of the Week.

It's been a while since the last Awesome Fat Guy of the Week. I wasn't sure who I should feature after being gone for so long. Eventually my decision was made for me. The man I chose had been a mainstay of the TV Sitcom landscape in the late 90s and early 2000s. He then began to appear on the big screen along with  many A list stars. Before all of that he was a successful stand-up comedian. His latest movie is what made me decide to feature him here. As for what that movie is, we'll get to it. For the moment let's just say that Kevin James is the Awesome Fat Guy of the Week.

Web Wednesday.

A week ago I posted the first half of my Wreckless Eating review/guide. Last week I took a look at some of the members of the Wreckless Eating channel. Today, I'll be looking at the shows, of which there are dozens. These shows run the gamut in length, concept, and subject matter. I haven't watched every episode and in fact have not tried every show, as such I will be sticking to the ones I have seen and can talk about with a modicum of knowledge.

Tat Tuesday.

Sometimes, when I look back at the toys of my childhood, I am amazed by how out of left field some of them were. I don't know if the 90's had a larger contingent of these crazy toy-lines then previous and following decades, or if they just stick out in my head more. Take Barnyard Commandos for instance, it is a line of toys built around pigs and sheep fighting each-other. It sounds stupid. In fact it was stupid, and yet it was so odd I couldn't help but love it. So on this edition of Tat Tuesday I'm going to take a look back on that stupid toy-line and tell you why I loved it so much.

Damn!! Thursday.

On this edition of Damn!! Thursday I'm doing something a little different. Instead of focusing on things that are so horrible I can only utter the word "Damn!!", I will instead feature awesome things. Things that are so awesome they will leave you saying "Damn!!". So in short these are good "Damn!!"s not bad "Damn!!"s. Right, let's just get to the post.

Web Wednesday.

It's time for Web Wednesday and today's subject is so prolific that I have no choice but to split this into two posts. What, you may ask, can deem such a feat? No other than Wreckless Eating. In case you are unaware of exactly what Wreckless Eating is, allow me to fill you in. Wreckless Eating is a YouTube channel featuring a group of friends who consume a number of odd or disgusting foods. For this first post we will be looking at the members of the cast. So without further ado let's get to part 1.

Web Wednesday.

Today's Web Wednesday post is going to be a bit of a stretch. That is to say that the subject of today's post isn't, strictly speaking, a product of the Internet. It has existed before the Internet became a part of everyday life. Having said that it, has grown and blossomed thanks to the Internet. In fact it is safe to say that without the Internet today's subject would not be nearly as popular. So just what is today's subject? Fan films. On this edition of Web Wednesday I will be taking a look at some of my favorite Fan Films. As I said they existed before the proliferation of the Internet but have been highly dependent on it for their success. So without further ado let's jump right in.

Tat Tuesday.

I am finally back. You have no idea how hard it is to get back into the swing of things after being 'away' for so long. It doesn't help that I am very lazy by nature. Thankfully I was able to get past the siren song of my bed and get back to 'work'. On this edition of Tat Tuesday I'll looking back on one of the more unique toys of the 80s/90s. Let's take a walk down memory lane and pay a visit to the nostalgia bomb that is Madballs.

Technical Difficulties

You may have noticed that this Blog has gone quiet recently. This is due to my having lost Internet service. Things seem to be back to normal now. If it stays that way you can expect regular updates to return next Tuesday. The G.I.Joe post will return the Monday after that. Hopefully by August we will be back to the normal 4 posts a week a schedule. Here's hoping.

Awesome Fat Guy of the Week.

No Awesome Fat Guy of the Week today. I'm still getting back on the ball and had a hard time deciding on this weeks Fat Guy. Awesome Fat Guy of the Week will return next week. Please excuse my pointless laziness.

Damn!! Thursday.

It's that time again. Time to delve into the seedy underbelly of humanity and scrape away at the worst of the worst. It's time to bring the things that lurk in the shadows out into the sun. Or to find the funny/stupid things that make you feel better about yourself. Either because you get a laugh out of them or, more likely, due to the sudden realization that there are so many people out there stupider than you. Hell, maybe we'll find some uplifting or borderline miraculous stories. The picture above is of a Chinese bridge constructor who had a really bad day. He was impaled by multiple metal bars when a machine malfunctioned. Amazingly, he survived the incident and is recovering in a hospital. Read more here.

Web Wednesday.

So I've been slacking a bit recently. I have no excuse. What can I say, laziness is in my DNA. Anyway I'm back and it's time to get back on the ball. Today, being Wednesday, we are looking at one of my 'new' favorite Internet Entertainers. I have only been watching his work for a few months but he has quickly become a top ten personality for me. So without further ado let's talk about Nash.

Web Wednesday.

This is going to be a hard one. Today's subject is an acquired taste. He is very specific in his comedic presentation. So much so that if you are not into that small niche, than he will do nothing for you. In fact, I as a fan, sometimes find myself rolling my eyes. And yet I can't help but like him. He has a great eye for material and knows his character. Phelous is good at what he does but you may not like it anyway.

Tat Tuesday.

A few months ago, while speaking about the Game Gear, I mentioned the Neo Geo Pocket. It was another failed usurper to Nintendo's handheld dominance. Like the aforementioned Game Gear it was an awesome little system that while technically superior could not overcome the Game Boy. To be fair to those dearly departed systems nothing has come close to pushing Nintendo out of the number 1 spot. Sony has had some success but Nintendo just continues to rule the handheld scene. Which is a shame because the Neo Geo Pocket was a fantastic system. I loved it. To me it was the unofficial successor to the Game Gear. The Nomad doesn't count.

Awesome Fat Guy of the Week.

Before we start I just want to explain why there was no Awesome Fat Guy of the Week last Friday. I had planned to feature a fictional character, but decided to stick to real people for the time being. I had always planned on talking about some great Fat Characters but it just didn't feel right as I was writing it. I didn't have enough time to choose a substitute and as such had no other option but to skip the post. I am planing on doing something with the fictional character I had chosen, but for now I'll be sticking with real people. Today's real person is Chi McBride. A notable actor who has been in a number of TV series and movies.

Damn!! Thursday.

It's that time again. Time to dig through the undercarriage of the Internet to find the worst and the weirdest that the world has to offer. As I am sure you have heard there has recently been a string of cannibal/zombie type crimes. The most talked about being the incident in Miami. We'll start there and see just how far this shit goes. In case you were wondering about the picture above, its a weird story. A man decided that the best thing to do with his recently departed cat was turn it into the abomination you see up there. He had the thing stuffed and turned it into a remote control Cat-Copter. Sick.

Web Wednesday.

So I took a few days off. That's over now. Let's get back on schedule. Today I am featuring another UK Web Entertainer. Unlike the past subjects we have a man who focuses almost solely on Video Games. As you may know I am not much of a gamer. That doesn't stop me from enjoying a few Video Game related Web Shows. Guru Larry produces some of those shows. That isn't how I learned of him though. I learned about Guru Larry through a rather short lived or very infrequently updated series that is hysterically funny. We'll get to that but first let's take a look at Guru Larry in depth.
